ColorCars was formed by marrying the noblest
aspects of the law practice (professional representation of clients' interests;
vigorous protection of the clients' rights) with the used car industry, where
they're needed.
After all, the purchase of any vehicle requires the
expenditure of many thousands of dollars. Some vehicles now cost as much as some
houses, yet every day amateur car buyers face professional car sellers, sign
contracts and hand over large sums of money completely unprotected. When you
think about it, you realize how risky that can be. Add manipulative sales
practices to the equation and it's no wonder consumers rate used car buying
among the most distasteful of experiences.
The founder of ColorCars
realized it shouldn't be that way. People should not be tricked into deals or
pressured into relieving the dealer of old inventory. So the first innovation
was to eliminate inventory; no inventory, no stale merchandise, no reason to
twist anyone's arm. Without inventory, there's obviously far less overhead as
well and no reason to run expensive ads, allowing every vehicle Color-Cars buys
for its clients to be exceptionally well priced.
No inventory also means
no salespeople. What a boon to the used car industry that is! Everyone at
ColorCars is an advisor. Our primary interest is to find the best priced, best
quality vehicle on the market at the time while looking to optimize the power of
every dollar you have available. We also do our best to keep up with the latest
safety results to provide guidance in this area.
In addition, we analyze
your needs and driving habits because these are important in optimizing value.
For example, if you don't drive much each year, why spend so much extra for a
low mileage vehicle? You are better off purchasing a newer vehicle that has been
driven substantially, such as a new car briefly owned by a traveling
salesperson. That vehicle may be in excellent physical condition, with lots of
original factory warranty still left to go, but a bargain because it shows
higher than average mileage. As the second, low mileage owner, you give that
cars' age time to catch up to its mileage, and when you sell, you'll benefit!
That's the kind of analysis ColorCars does for all its clients. It's another way
we protect your interests.
Our Technology
By eliminating inventory and salespeople, we
eliminated the need for big showrooms and big lots to house all those cars.
Using technology instead, we are linked by internet to wholesale auction markets
all over the country. This gives us all the inventory we could want and keeps us
abreast of the most current market prices. When our clients come in to talk to
us, our computer system is involved, allowing clients to see for themselves
available models and the wholesale prices. That's another innovation; we're up
front with the facts.
